10.09.2002 - Turkmenistan.it, the first Italian web site completely dedicated to Turkmenistan, has come today into being. The creation of the site answers to the need of offering an instrument of infor-mation to all those who are interested in the Asian country and wish to have access to a source of information in Italian language. The site is organized in ten sections dedicated to all the major aspects of the life of the country, from general information to geography, from economy to tourism. This way the site aims at remedying the chronic shortage of information about a country which day by day is gaining an international part getting more and more important both for its strategic position in the delicate geopolitical framework of Central Asia and economically for its huge reserves of gas and petroleum, up to now exploited only very partially. The rapid evolution of the geo-graphy of energy sources markets let us suppose for this country of Central Asia a very important part worthy of a great attention by in-ternational transactors.
